Manage User and Permissions

You can create and modify different roles and assign permissions. You can edit or delete the role and permissions under the Manage Employee or Manage roles tabs. Use the Actions menu and save the changes.

Add a Role

Roles allow administrators the ability to control what users can do in Dashboard, without giving full administrator access. A role is a collection of permissions based on a job function. Permissions are assigned to roles, and later roles are assigned to users.

To add a role:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard > Settings > User & Permissions.

    The User & Permissions page is displayed.

  1. Click Add Role given at the top-right corner of the page.

    The Add Role pop-up page is displayed.

  1. Enter the role name in the Role field.
  2. Select the check boxes under the each modules of Dashboard to provide permissions.
  3. Click Create Role to complete the action.

Add an Employee

To add an employee:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard > Settings > User & Permissions.

  2. Click Add Employee at the top-right corner of the page.

    The Add Employee pop-up page is displayed.

  1. Enter the employee’s name in the Name field.
  2. Select the role from the Select Role drop-down list.
  3. Enter the employee’s email ID in the Email ID field.
  4. Click Add Employee to add the employee.

Update an Employee Detail

To update existing employee details:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard > Settings > User & Permissions.

    The Manage Employees tab is displayed on the Manage Users & Permissions page.

  2. Click the Edit button (Pencil) next on the employee entry that you wish to update.

    The Edit Employee Details pop-up page is displayed.

  1. Update the name in the Name field.
  2. Select the role from the Select Role drop-down list.
  3. Click Save Changes.

Update a Role

To update an existing role:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard > Settings > User & Permissions.

    The Manage Employees tab is displayed on the Manage Users & Permissions page.

  2. Select the Manage Roles tab.

  3. Click the Edit button (Pencil) on the role entry that you wish to update.

    The Edit Role Details pop-up page is displayed.

  1. Update the name in the Role Name field.
  2. Select the check boxes under the various module to grant permissions.
  3. Click Save Changes.
